End of October Update
It would seem that October is winding down to an end... what a month...what a month!

Here is a link to last years OCTOBER.

Now onto this past month in review.
A lot of things have been happening... Jen and I are in the process of purchasing a home. We are making some big steps... and everything is doing well. We are all very excited about this event.

Also, most of you will know that I have migrated back to Windows (XP to be exact). Some things came up (I can not discuss) and I am no longer using Ubuntu.

I now have only one goal left: PIMP HARDER

Like No One is Watching
I feel as though I have been a bit vague in some of my assessments of friendship. (Damn, here I go again, same old topic, same old attitude).

I have been out of prison since July 13th (Friday)... in as much as 3 months and 14 days, I have felt a little outcast. Shadowed over by the indiscretions and inequities that I brought upon myself... lately, I have been thinking... how do I qualify friendship... I guess I qualify friendship with a few specific instances: loyalty... being there through thick and thin; and trust... counting on someone. I have thought about this a lot lately, and I have considered a few things that have maybe led me astray in some of my previous analyzes. Friendship isn't about consideration or integrity... friendship doesn't imply a contract of exclusivity... and friendship can't solve the wounds of the past... but my qualifications are strong... they are important to me... I am last to know, if I get to know at all...

They say that character is who are when no one is watching...

Change
You know, there are a lot of things about to change here in the next few weeks. I will be moving into a new home that we are purchasing, I will be starting on the home stretch at school, and I will be spending all of my time working on the house and getting it ready for winter.

There are some things that won't change... I still, (even after being out of prison for this long), feel out of the loop. I look at all the pictures on peoples MySpace/Facebook pages, and I see all the cool shit that people have been doing. Granted, I wasn't around, but how come the times that I am around, no one does anything. Could be pure coincidence, or my cynical viewpoint on life could be accurate.

Sometimes there is just a world I can never be part of... its just a shame if it turns out to be my own.

Timeless
I had a chance to talk to an old friend tonight, one that I haven't spoken with since a few months before I went to prison. This guy was a good friend, and I believe that I can honestly say that he personally kept me out of trouble during my early youth (around 13+).

Since I respect this person so much, I found it difficult to inform him that I am nothing more (this stems from all the comments I have been receiving) than a common criminal who can be equated to a ruthless thug who steals from major companies. I told him about the situation.

I stopped to think about it too, while I chatted with him online. I thought about the path I was taking as a child, and how I evolved into nothing more than the path I was destined to take back then, it just took a little longer. Did I think that my life would travel in the direction that it did? No. Was it inevitable? No. But did I still end up no better now, than the path I was traveling back then? Yes.

I find it comical, not that I broke the law, or that I went to prison, or that my life has been turned upside down by my own mistakes, but that this was even possible.

Possibility and Probability are 2 different things. Was there a possibility of me going to prison, sure, as with anything; but was it probable? No, I do not think so.

Having been through more than most people at my age (25), having spent time in a federal prison... I have let myself down. I took a path far beyond the scope of my own comprehension, and even now, I find it difficult to reflect on the past.

I find it funny that none of them have asked me about it. No one has asked me any questions regarding my stay... do I blame them? No. But we all know my past history when it comes to friendship. (So I wont get into that)...

Blog Action Day
Today is Blog Action Day.

I am really busy today, and every other day, since Jeni and I are in the process of buying a house, but I want you all to know that the environment is very important. It takes a lot to make sure that we are living in a world free of pollution and able to breathe fresh air.

Please Google: Blog Action Day, and read all about it.

Back to Windows
Due to some circumstances (unrelated to the legal situation that was happening), I have returned to use Microsoft Windows XP.

The legal situation is going to be cancelled. So I will continue to use Windows.

"Copying" Music you own is 'stealing'...

Capitol Records, et al v. Jammie Thomas
Pariser has a very broad definition of "stealing." When questioned by Richard Gabriel, lead counsel for the record labels, Pariser suggested that what millions of music fans do is actually theft. The dirty deed? Ripping your own CDs or downloading songs you already own.

Gabriel asked if it was wrong for consumers to make copies of music which they have purchased, even just one copy. Pariser replied, "When an individual makes a copy of a song for himself, I suppose we can say he stole a song." Making "a copy" of a purchased song is just "a nice way of saying 'steals just one copy'," she said.
